Water Quality Protection Volume (WQv) is runoff from the 85th percentile rain event, identified as 1.2 inches of rainfall for Wichita/Sedgwick County (6-hour minimum dry interval). Treat WQv to remove 80% of TSS. Channel Protection Volume (CPv) is extended detention of the 1-year, 24-hour event (2.8 inches) for at least 24 hours centroid-to-centroid, or retain the pre-/post-development difference on-site.

The Water Quality Protection Volume (WQv) is the volume of runoff from the development as a result of the 85th percentile rain event. In the Wichita and Sedgwick County area, this is the 1.2 inch rain event. Water quality protection must be achieved by treating the WQv to remove 80% of the total suspended solids
