Design storm return periods (years)
10-year, 100-year

The two most commonly used storm events are the 10-year frequency, 24-hour duration event and the 100-year frequency, 24-hour duration event.

Chapter 3, Storm Water Calculations

Water quality volume method
Treat at least one-half inch of storm water runoff (water quality volume or storage) from impervious surfaces, targeting removal of at least 80% of total suspended solids on an annual average basis; post-development peak discharge rates and volumes should not exceed predevelopment levels.

Storm water quality measures selected should be designed to treat at least one-half inch of storm water runoff (water quality volume or storage), at a minimum, from the impervious surfaces. Treatment goals should be targeted to remove at least 80 percent of the total suspended solids from runoff on an annual average basis
